The first 40yrs are the hardest!
Day 79: First thing we had to do was go back into Bunbury to get Charli's swimmers which she left in the showers at the aquatic centre, she was very relieved that they where still there. Now we were off to one more detour before arriving in Perth. Housie had organised to meet the owner of Scoop Deluxe Beard Balm at Mandurah. With 2 tins of balm in his hot little hands, Housie was excited to get to Perth to give it a try.
Charli and Declan were very excited to get to Perth too as we were staying with Al's Aunt and that meant a house, TV and Foxtel. Once we arrived and settled in we hung out just relaxing for the afternoon. Aunty Lindy had organised Al's cousin Steven and his family to come over for dinner. It was great to catch up.
Day 80: Today we went into Fremantle Markets. We had lunch while wacthing some very interesting people. Housie thought Fremantle was the Kings Cross of WA, that'll give you some idea as to what we were seeing. After some more TV watching we all went to Cottesloe Beach to check out The Sculptures By The Sea and watch the sunset. Some of the sculptures were unusual to say the least but there were a few good ones. Housie and Kaddy went off to get us fish and chips to eat while watching the sun go down. The sunset was stunning and the food wasn't too bad either.

Day 81: Aunty Lindy took Charli and Declan out for the day so Housie and Al could have some time on their own. The kids went to the acquarium and the zoo. The three of them had a great time. Housie and Al decided to do a tour of the tunnels under neath the Fremantle Goal. The tunnels were made by convicts digging them out by hand so the town could have a supply of water. No one escaped through the tunnels as there was only one way in and one way out. The tour involved walking and rowing little boats through 1.5m high tunnels. Al was laugh'n, she hardly had to bend over! The tour was great and when they finished the guide even let them look through a couple of cells as they were the only two on this tour. For lunch Al and Housie decided to try Little Creatures Brewery on the Fremantle Wharf. The restaurant was very cool in a warehouse with the stills in the brewery visable from the tables. They enjoyed the beer and the food was great too. Since today was St Patrick's Day they decided to go and have a few beers at Rosie O'Grady's. The atmosphere was awesome with lots of happy faces and great Irish music complete with Irish dancers!!! Of course Al drove them back to Aunty Lindy's.

Everyone had planned to go to the Camelot open air Cinema at Mosman Park but Aunty Lindy was exhausted from the big day with the kids and decided not to go. Kaddy had had a tough day at work and was also exhausted. Declan did not want to see 'Saving Mr Banks' so Housie suggesteed that he and Decs would drop off Al and Charli at the cinema and they would go to Timezone. Al and Charli enjoyed the open air cinema watching the movie on bean bags, eating malteases and drinking hot chocolate.
Day 82: Charli had mentioned at the start of the holiday that she wished we could go to Wave Rock so, today we did just that. It was a 3 hr drive to Hyden where Wave Rock was and we got an early start. The rock is very impressive and we all had a turn pretending to surf the wave. The wave is only one side of the much bigger Hyden Rock so we decided to walk up to the top to check out the view. Hyden Rock was massive and you could see where the water had run down and over the edge to form the 'wave'. It was a very hot day so we didn't stay up there too long. We drove on a little further to Hippo's Yawn which is a formation of rocks that looks just like a hippo yawning! We got some photos and we were back in the car. Next was a cave with some Aboriginal hand art. After lunch we walked over to look at some metal art that was done by a local. There were people, dogs and machinery all made from metal. Now it was time to head back to Perth.
Dropping in at Wave Rock!!

Day 83: Housie had finally decided to get a hair cut and a beard trim. After lots of internet research he found a place in Subiaco that looked like it was up to his standards. When the guy was finished with Housie, Al was very impressed and thought Housie looked pretty damn good (well compared to how he did look below). From here we went into the city for a look around.
Day 84: After much deliberation it was decided we would stay another day as the kids really, really wanted to go to Adventure World. Everyone had an awesome time on the rides but the highlight was the waterslides. It was a very fun day.
